Spoon Carving with Wood

No experience necessary! Over two days we will look at the nature of wood, BASIC sharpening skills, initial cutting, and splitting, and arriving at the basic shape of the spoon. We will then design the form or shape of the spoon (or flipper) and then shape the wood with knives following the design. On the second day we finalize the shape of the spoon with sanding then decorate the spoon and add the final touches. Wood and the use of the required tools will be provided. Lunch break from noon -1pm both days.
